Pacifiers are used to help babies fulfill their need to suck. Each baby is different in his or her need to suck. Your baby may use a pacifier for the first few months of age. However, by six months of age, a pacifier should be used primarily at nap time or bedtime or if your baby is ill. Too much pacifier use an interfere with speech as well as affect babies’ teeth. We recommend weaning from pacifiers between 12 and 24 months of age.

Avoid pacifiers with honey for babies under the one year of age.
